<p>17 phytoplankton strains were isolated from the Elbe estuary as part of the DFG-funded project “Biota-mediated effects on carbon cycling in estuaries” within the RTG2530 (grant number 407270017). Strains are used for experimental work (see e.g. <a href="https://doi.org/10.1098/rspb.2023.2713">https://doi.org/10.1098/rspb.2023.2713</a>). Here we provide a list of strains with metadata and further sequencing material. Strains are hosted at the IMF (Institute of Marine Ecosystem and Fishery Science) by the working group 'Plankton Ecology and Evolution'.</p>
