&lt;p&gt;- the CO&lt;sub&gt;2&lt;/sub&gt; release and its &lt;sup&gt;13&lt;/sup&gt;C signal during the 17-day incubations with and without glucose addition (file names&amp;nbsp;CO2-release_17-day-incubation and&amp;nbsp;Gas_13C_17-day-incubation)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- the CO&lt;sub&gt;2&lt;/sub&gt; release during the 874-day incubation (file names incub1 (= tropical sandy soil), incub2 (= temperate silty soil), and incub3 (= temperate sandy soil)) for each replicate and as the mean for each treatment&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- soil sample properties at the beginning of the incubations (file name Soil-properties)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- matlab code for the decay model (file name two_pools_optimization and&amp;nbsp;SOCcontent_2p)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The file &amp;quot;sampleIDs&amp;quot; allows to translate the sample numbers listed in the files to the respective soil and treatment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Control treatments contain only soil, rock powder (RP) treatments contain soil and basanite rock powder, biochar (BC) treatments contain soil and wheat straw based biochar, Co-application (Co-app.) treatments contain soil and basanite rock powder and biochar, and co-pyrolysis (Co-pyr.) treatments contain soil and rock-enhanced biochar from co-pyrolysis.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
