An opthalmoscope is a medical device for the physical examination of the eyes. With its electrical lamp it allows to see inside the fundus of the human eye. It was first invented in Great Britain but mainly developed in Germany after 1850.

 

This 3D scan was made possible within the framework of the Hamburg Open Science programme by funding from the Ministry of Science, Research and Equality of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
