History of Alfa Yaya’s leadership and battles fought in Fuladu

When Modi Agibou killed his brother Sorrie at Kadeh, he fled to Kang Kutubo in Touba.  While in Touba, Baraka Fatty whom both Modi Agibou and his brother were sent to be raised, went to request for him in Touba.  His request was not granted and he returned home and wrote to Alfa Yaya about the incident. Alfa Yaya was very angry and wrote back to Baraka that he was part of the conspiracy.  Baraka was also angered by those words and he also wrote back with provoking words that ended up with a rift between them. After a while, Alfa Yaya left Fouta to Touba for Modi Agibou, but his request was not granted and he threatened to burn the town to ash.  So, Kang Kutubo went to him with Modi Agibou to plead on his behalf, so that he could be spared by his father. He convinced Alfa Yaya to spare him and he agreed. Baraka Fatty and Alfa Yaya’s relationship grew badly for 3 years. After 3 years, Alfa Yaya sent some men to Baraka Fatty who lured and finished him in the bushes. That was the end of Baraka Fatty. After the death of Baraka Fatty, Alfa Yaya went to attack the people of Kumpon who were mainly non- believers in God.  Their king was Nfally Sonko who ruled over the Jolas of Kinara.  During the fight, Alfa Yaya was shot in the leg and he was defeated.  His son Modi Agibou came to his rescue and he escaped with his men to Fouta. Almami Dina was Jalonke king.  His brother Touba was also ruling over an island in the Jalonke kingdom.  There came a time when his brother Touba refused to send taxes collected from his region to his brother Almami Dina.
