Extreme temperatures coupled with forests fires form a dangerous cocktail not only for ecosystems, but also for people. Extreme rainfall and flooding not only change and influence agricultural production, but also destroy infrastructure and people‘s belongings, as well as having an impact on mental health. The summer of 2023 was a »crazy summer« for Greece and the affected regions and people have to cope with weather extremes and anthropogenic climate change.
