&lt;p&gt;----------------------------------------------------------&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The interdisciplinary project RFB05 &amp;quot;The Interior of the Church in Lucklum: A Compendium of Early Modern European Emblematics&amp;quot; combines expertise from the fields of theology, literary and art history, materials science, and human-computer interaction to document and historically contextualize all inscriptions and emblem paintings inside the church for the very first time. This includes investigating how the 209 inscriptions and 156 paintings structure the church&amp;rsquo;s interior as a space of meditation and prayer. Moreover, the projects tests the non-invasive scanning of earlier. hidden layers with completely different paitings and inscriptions. Part of the project is an interactive immersive virtual reality application of the church in Lucklum, where users can explore all inscriptions and emblematic paintings in their spatial context.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The project belongs to the Research Field B &amp;ldquo;Inscribing Spaces&amp;rdquo; of the first phase (2019-2025) of the Cluster of Excellence &amp;ldquo;Understanding Written Artefacts&amp;rdquo;.&lt;/p&gt;
