<dc:description>The present dataset contains the raw data underlying the publication "Organic compounds drive growth in phytoplankton taxa from different functional groups" (https://doi.org/10.1098/rspb.2023.2713). The data collection was carried out as part of the DFG-funded project “Biota-mediated effects on carbon cycling in estuaries” within the RTG2530 (grant number 407270017). We provide a data sheet each with the processed data and metadata, as well as the raw data as .fcs files (flow cytometric data) which can be read with the provided R script. Information about the strains has been previously published (http://doi.org/10.25592/uhhfdm.18668).</dc:description>
