All data renderings provided here were done in Cytoscape 3.7.1 (Season file for replication purposes is included in the archives). NUTS is a categorization system for European regions ranging from whole nations (NUTS 0), countries (NUTS 1 and 2), municipalities (NUTS 3) to even smaller regions in some cases (LAU).
