    Black painted wooden board, light linen cloth and metall pins to interconnect those parts to fix the wax moulage.
    The wax moulage consists of varying skin color tones and appears slightly shiny on the surface. The wax scatters the light slightly under the surface. The areas affected by the disease Myxoedema circumscriptum symmetricum are mostly brown to bluegray and come with swollen skin deformation.

Wax moulages are lifelike replicas of body parts showing pathological patterns. These models, mainly used in dermatology between 1850 and 1950, were usually cast over a plaster or silicone negative from real patients. The moulage artists usually kept secret their specific wax mixtures.
