독일수어 말뭉치 프로젝트의 말뭉치 공개와 수어사전 (Introducing the Public Corpus and Dicitonary of the DGS-Korpus Project)

Abstract:

독일수어DGS-코퍼스 프로젝트는 2009년 독일에서 시작되어 현재까지 진행되 고 있는 장기 학술 사업이다. 이 프로젝트의 목표는 독일수어(German Sign Language, DGS)를 체계적으로 기록하고, 연구자와 언어 공동체, 교육계, 그리고 일반 대중이 활용할 수 있는 두 가지 공개 자원을 제공하는 데 있다. 그 결과물 이 바로 DGS 공개 말뭉치(DGS Public Corpus)와 DGS 디지털 사전(Digital Dictionary of DGS, DW-DGS)이다. 프로젝트의 일환으로 DGS 참조 말뭉치가 설 계되어 수집되었다. 이 가운데 일부가 온라인을 통해 DGS 공개 말뭉치로 제공되 고 있다. 공개 말뭉치는 4 개의 포털을 통해 제공되며, 각 포털은 서로 다른 이용 자 집단의 요구에 맞게 설계되었다. 또한 DGS 말뭉치는 최초의 말뭉치 기반 DGS 사전을 편찬하기 위한 기초 자료가 된다. 해당 사전은 말뭉치 자료를 토대 로 의미 설명, 실제 사용 예문, 분포 지도, 연어(collocation) 등 다양한 정보를 담 고 있다. 본 논문은 DGS-코퍼스 프로젝트와 이 프로젝트의 두 가지 공개 결과물 에 대해 간략하게 개관한다.

The DGS-Korpus project is a long-term academic project located in Germany and running since 2009. Its mission is to document German Sign Language (DGS) and to provide two publicly accessible resources for research, the language community, teaching and the interested public: The DGS Public Corpus and the Digital Dictionary of DGS (DW-DGS). Within the project a reference corpus of DGS has been designed and collected. A subset of this reference corpus is published online as the Public DGS Corpus. It can be accessed through four different portals tailored to different user groups. The DGS Corpus is a precondition for the compilation of the first corpus-based dictionary of DGS. The dictionary includes several information types making use of corpus data – such as sense descriptions, authentic example sentences, distributional maps, and collocations. This paper provides a short sketch of the DGS-Korpus project and its two publicly available products.
