&lt;p&gt;We captured bats in the Kirindy forest and the Tsimanampetsotse National Park in Madagascar in 2018 and 2019 and measured the bats metabolic rate and skin temperature for 24h directly in their natural habitat and roost.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
